The Rebel Camp project was complete, and then I took the leadership role for a battle experience, The Sand Witch.

The fight consists of Tor-kei the Sand witch casting many spells with sandwich puns and three events.

The first event will move her out of the arena and will summon the player’s shadows. An altar will provide the witch powers, and players must take it out to draw the Witch back to the fight.

The 1st event – Pillar rises and shadows attack the player

The second event will move her out again of the arena, but this time two altars appear, alongside two miniature versions of the Aquifer monster, who are pretty strong and will hurt the player if they don’t deal with them. The altars power each other, making them immune to attacks; thus, the player must find the correct order to disable the altars.

The 2nd event – Another pillar rises and putrid beasts attack the player

In the final event, the Sandwich begins a mortal spell that takes 60 seconds to cast and will kill anyone on sight. She will be immune to any attacks as three altars rise and begin powering each other. The player must take out all the altars and then unleash all the damage they can before their time runs out.

The last phase – Destroy the altars and defeat the witch before its too late…

Once the sandwich is defeated, they unlock a daily quest to re-experience the fight and obtain a currency traded in for cosmetics.

Post-mortem - The Sand Witch

This project received significant praise from the player base as the fight used map mechanics to proceed to the story. They felt that it put them to the test for what they have learned from the game so far.

This project was enjoyable to put together and to see the player feedback flow-in

This project made me feel more confident on my team when it comes to requesting their stuff. The team delivers things that I exactly envisioned, or make it even better :).
